UNESCO
designates 2007 "Year of Rumi" to mark the 800th birth
of eminent philosopher and mystical poet Jalaladdin Rumi. Rumi is
one of the greatest spiritual and literary figures of all times
and known for his message and call for love, humanity and peace.
At Parkteatret
(www.parkteatret.no)
in Oslo we will celebrate Rumi from the 17.th - 18.th of November
with a seminar, storytelling performances and a consert with the
famous iranian musician Davod Azad and his band.
During the festival
there will be programs both in English and Norwegian.

Iranian singer and multi-instrumentalist Davod Azad is one of the
most acclaimed exponents and scholars of classical Persian music
and Persian Sufi music. He arrives Norway together with fellow musicians
Mohammad Farzad Andalibi, Ali Pajoosheshgar, and Habibollah Mohammadi.
